NOVEMBER 5
Depart from your local city to Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Nairobi. (1 day of travel from the USA).

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 6 – DAY 1
Arrive in Nairobi and meet the Somewhere Devine team! Rest up comfortably at The Sheraton Four Points, and get ready for the adventure!

FRIDAY NOVEMBER 7 – DAY 2
Our first group breakfast where Brad and Hailey welcome everyone and kick-off introductions!
Dive into the streets of Nairobi to beat the jet lag + head to the Giraffe Center for our first animal encounter. Get up close and personal with these gentle giants to feed and take pictures! 🦒
Group dinner in Nairobi and rest up for an early morning!

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 8 – DAY 3
Rise early for a hearty breakfast, then hit the road to Lake Naivasha.
Embark on a water safari around Lake Naivasha which is the home to over 900 hippos! It’s like living real life jungle cruise, and if we’re lucky we’ll even see some babies. Then we’ll hop onto Crescent Island for a walking safari, where you’ll find no barriers between us and the giraffes, monkeys, zebra, and gazelle!
Then settle into the stunning Lake Naivasha Resort, where you’ll find wildlife casually walking around the property, and a gorgeous buffet dinner. Shuttle to your room via golf cart after the sun goes down, and meet up for games and a night under the stars!

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 9 – DAY 4
Enjoy a slow morning at Naivasha Sopa Lodge – Eat breakfast and explore the wildlife on the property until afternoon.
From here we will drive to drive Kitale where our service project is located. Settle in for dinner and rest up for our first service day!

MONDAY NOVEMBER 10 – DAY 5
Arrive at Mattaw Childrens Village for a welcome reception to get acquainted with our new friends, and tour the grounds. Start our service projects then split into small groups for lunch inside the Mattaw homes where we will be eating authentic Kenyan food like Chapati! The days at Mattaw are jam packed with fun and hard work – At sun down, we will shuttle back to the hotel to clean up for dinner and hit the pillow for the next day.

TUESDAY NOVEMBER 11 – DAY 6
Breakfast and another full day of service and play at Mattaw Children’s Village! Break into small groups again for lunch in Mattaw homes. Back to the service project, and groups 1-3 will deliver donations to surrounding villages. Dinner to follow at our hotel!

WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 12 – DAY 7
Breakfast and another full day of service and play at Mattaw Children’s Village! Break into small groups again for lunch in Mattaw homes. Back to the service project, and groups 4-6 will deliver donations to surrounding villages. Farewell dinner, dance party, and goodbyes!

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 13 – DAY 8
Early morning breakfast and flight departure to the beautiful, world renowned, Masai Mara!
Our Maasai leaders will greet us, and we’ll jump straight into safari mode. Lunch at Zebra Plains Luxury Mara Camp and get settled into our rooms.
Jump into our safari vehicles with our Maasai Leaders for an afternoon game drive for set out for THE BIG FIVE – Lions, elephants, leopards, water buffalos, cheetahs, giraffes and so much more!
Return back to Zebra Plains after sundown, for a dinner and games under the African night sky. Rest up for an early morning!

FRIDAY NOVEMBER 14 – DAY 9
Rise and shine for a sunrise safari! After breakfast, spend a full day exploring the Mara’s jaw-dropping landscapes, searching for the Big Five.
Enjoy a picnic lunch on the plains with our Maasai guides sharing their stories—a perfect mix of wildlife and culture.
Buffet dinner back at camp—relive the day’s highlights around the campfire and soak it all in.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 15 – DAY 10
Soak up our last morning in Kenya at Zebra Plains with breakfast and views of the Mara! Pack up for our afternoon flight to Nairobi. Lunch and hang out at Sheraton Four Points in Nairobi until international flight departure. (Optional activities this afternoon are available but not included.) Goodbyes and fly home!

We typically start first come, first serve, pairing roommates and putting together rooming situations that fit best for the group.
Yes, you will be reimbursed in FULL within 48 hours.
No, we either accept the entire group or not at all. If you make a roommate request we will honor it and never separate you.
Yes, we will pair you with a new friend of the same gender, similar age, and interests!
No, each traveler is responsible for purchasing their own international flight. However we are happy to provide suggestions of which flight routes to take.
Yes! We have trusted partners who understand the importance of accommodating for allergies and dietary restrictions. However we always suggest bringing some of your own snacks as well.
No, all purchases are final. However, if you're unable to attend for whatever reason, you can sell your spot to someone else for a "refund". We typically have a waiting list of others who are eager to join, and we can connect you to that contact list.
No, each traveler is responsible to purchase their own travel insurance. However we are happy to provide suggestions of which insurance companies to use to make sure you are covered if an accident arises.
We have an incredible staff and in-country leaders who are knowledgeable and equipped for emergency situations, along with access to Starlink 24/7.
