From the moment you arrive, Kenya awakens your sense of adventure. Hand-feed giraffes in Nairobi, glide past hippos on Lake Naivasha, and walk among herds of zebra and giraffe on Crescent Island. Cross the equator on your way to Kitale, where you’ll roll up your sleeves and serve alongside locals at Mattaw Children’s Village, leaving a mark that matters.
Then board a private charter flight into the legendary Masai Mara. For two unforgettable days, safari with Maasai guides, picnic on the open plains, and chase the wide variety of wildlife on the Mara.

DETAILS
NOV 4TH - TRAVEL DAY
Depart from your local city to Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Nairobi.
During your travels, keep an eye out for familiar Somewhere Devine faces along your way! (1 day of travel for USA).
NOV 5TH - WELCOME TO NAIROBI!
Arrive in Nairobi and meet the Somewhere Devine team! Rest up after your travels, and get ready for the adventure!
Nov 6TH - WELCOME & GIRAFFE EXPERIENCE
Breakfast at Sheraton Four Points with a kick-off team meeting! Spend the afternoon at the giraffe center and get your first animal experience in Kenya.
Nov 7TH - CRESCENT ISLAND ADVENTURE
Breakfast at Sheraton Four Points with the group. Then drive to Lake Naivasha and embark on a walking and water safari around Crescent Island with impala, giraffe, zebra, hippos, and gazelle. Then settle in Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge for dinner and spend the night.
Nov 8TH - LAKE NAIVASHA SOPA RESORT + TRAVEL TO KITALE
Breakfast at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge and enjoy the property with all the wildlife. From here we will begin our drive to Kitale where our service project is located. We will stop at the equator along the way for photos! Arrive to Kitale and settle in for dinner and rest up for our first service day!
Nov 9TH - SERVICE DAY AT MATTAW
Breakfast and a Somewhere Devine team meeting before heading out to our service project at Mattaw Childrens Village. Pack your gloves, throw on your team t-shirt, and get ready for a full day of work and fun. Arrive at Mattaw Childrens Village for a welcome reception to get acquainted with our new friends, and tour the grounds. Start our service project then split into small groups for lunch inside the Mattaw homes where we will be eating authentic Kenyan food like Chapati! This food is clean and safe to eat, they are very used to feeding Americans. We encourage everyone to try the food at each meal - You’ll be surprised how delicious it is!
After lunch we will get back to work on our project for a few hours, and possibly throw in a
soccer game! Then we will shuttle back to the hotel to clean up for dinner and get a good rest for the next day.
Nov 10TH - SERVICE DAY AT MATTAW
Breakfast and another full day of service and fun at Mattaw Children's Village! Break into small groups again for lunch in Mattaw homes. Back to the service project, and groups 1-3 will deliver donations to surrounding villages. Dinner to follow at our hotel.
Nov 11TH - SERVICE DAY AT MATTAW + FAREWELL PARTY
Breakfast and another full day of service and fun at Mattaw Children's Village! Break into small groups again for lunch in Mattaw homes. Back to the service project, and groups 4-6 will deliver donations to surrounding villages. Farewell dance party, and goodbyes.
Nov 12TH - TRAVEL TO MASAI MARA + SAFARI
Early morning breakfast and flight departure to the beautiful Masai Mara. Arrive to Zebra Plains Luxury Mara Camp for lunch, and embark on an afternoon game drive until sunset. Dinner to follow! Rest up for another early morning.
Nov 13TH - FULL SAFARI DAY
Early morning breakfast and a full day game drive through the breathtaking lands of the Masai Mara on search for the BIG FIVE! Pack your binoculars and get ready for jam packed adventure. Sack lunch on the Mara. Dinner and games to follow at Zebra Plains.
Nov 14TH - TRAVEL TO NAIROBI
Soak up our last morning in Kenya at Zebra Plains with breakfast and views of the Mara! Pack up for our afternoon flight to Nairobi. Lunch and free time at Sheraton Four Points Nairobi until international flight departure in the evening. Shuttles to the airport will be provided. All international flights must be departing after 5pm Nairobi time. Goodbyes and fly home.
