OUR INSTAGRAM PROCESS

We’ve had so many questions about our Instagram process, so we decided to make a video tutorial! We shoot majority of our pictures on our DSLR, and since we like to post while we are out and about, we use an Apple USB Camera Adapter. It’s great for cameras that don’t have the bluetooth capability (We shoot with the Canon 1DX mark ii). I just keep this cable in my pocket when we travel. 🙂

Our favorite photo editing apps are Lightroom and VSCO. In VSCO we apply the A6 filter, bring up the exposure +0.2, straighten the image (horizon line is straight), bring up the clarity +0.5, bring up the saturation +0.5, and then play with the temperature/tint to make sure all the whites are a true white.

Instagram is like our journal, and so we love having a tangible copy of our memories. We signed up for Chatbooks after Lucy was born in 2014, and we can’t say enough good things about it! The books are automatically printed and delivered to your doorstep each time you post 60 pictures, and it’s only eight bucks! Our stack of Chatbooks are piling sky high, and I love knowing that all of our digital memories are printed. They make the perfect coffee table books!
