The Tippy Top of MONT BLANC

^^ When we ask strangers to take pictures its so hit and miss! I still like this even though it’s blurry. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ^^

We drove to Chamonix from Annecy, and the drive was unbelievable! So many green rolling hills, and jaggedy cliffs everywhere. It’s a good thing it was so pretty because it kept Brad and I both awake, since we literally slept 3-4 hours the night before (jetlag with kids is crazzzzy). Both of our girls napped on the drive, and I was so thankful that they could catch up on a little sleep. We rolled into Chamonix, and I was expecting it to be a little chilly, but it was so HOT. My hair was sticking to my face, as we were pulling out our winter clothes out of the car hahah — It just didn’t seem right! As we stood in line we were really second guessing ourselves because the men in front of us were dressed in shorts and capris!? Haha! We hopped on the gondola like a bunch of sardines, and sweating our brains out! Lucy was in Greta’s Ergobaby carrier because children under 5 years (Lucy is 3) were not advised, but we live life on the edge. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Greta was too young to come up, so we took turns going up with my parents — I’ve been so thankful for their help this trip!

We got to the top and it was a BLIZZARD! I was soooo thankful we stuck to our decision to wear our coats. ๐Ÿ™‚ It felt like we were walking around in some sort of James Bond movie!? Or like in Inception or something haha! I have never seen such desolate jaggedy mountains before. It was stunning. We stood at the top and watched a bunch of climbers take their final climb to the top! Some of the guys climbing were in their seventies and I was in awe. I applaud everyone brave enough to hike that far in such harsh condition!  I asked Lucy what she wants to be when she grows up and she said “a climber” — haha we will see what the future has in store for her. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ?

I swear that happens to me everytime I ask someone to take our pictures. I always put it on manual and make sure the AF is on, but still tend to get some blurry photos. While I am not happy that happened to you, it is nice to know i am not the only one it happens to.

What! This place looks amazing. So can you just ride up to the top? That’s so nice you don’t have to hike to see that view hahaha
