Running to Warm(er) Weather

 

We ran away to warm(er) weather in California, and it feels so good to be here! Especially amongst flowers and green leaves! We had to get up at 3:30 am for our flight (YIKES!) but the girls did surprisingly well. Greta slept the whole time, and Lucy watched movies on her iPad. We got to our hotel in LA and they didn’t have a room for us because we got there so early — so we walked up the street and ate breakfast at IHOP! We were so ghetto, it was awesome. Lucy hadn’t had her hair brushed, and I was basically in my pajamas and all greasy! Brad, Greta and I took a nap once we got to the hotel, as Lucy was secretly jumping around the foldout bed for two hours. Such a stinker! When we woke up we drove to Santa Monica Pier and Lucy was OUT. Drool and everything! I felt bad that she was awake while we were all napping, and then asleep when it was time for us all to have fun! We put her in the stroller, and I couldn’t believe that she stayed asleep! It was so noisy and the boardwalk was SO bumpy! Brad and I were laughing so hard over it — she was literally bouncing all over the place hahahah! Greta fell asleep right after we snapped these pics… So what did we do!? We hit up the arcade, and it was so fun! Turned out to be a surprise date night, and I loved it. Even though Brad schooled me in every game!

We’re heading to Disneyland on Saturday, and Brad’s trying to convince me that we need season passes! We’ll see what happens…..
