As she hits the prime age of playing pretend, she’s demanding my attention more than ever. My heart breaks every time she tugs at my shirt, asking these four little words, and I’m “too busy”. Now being a work-at-home mother of two, it feels like I’m busier than ever. So it has been my goal to set aside time to sit down, set baby Greta aside, and give her my undivided attention… Even if it’s only for ten minutes. I’m also finding ways to get her involved with the day-to-day things that I need to get done! Like the laundry, dishes, and things like addressing Christmas cards. ๐Ÿ˜‰ it has really tested my patience, since It takes a lot longer to get things done, and it’s not always done the “right way”… But I’ve learned that it makes my day-to-day routine so much sweeter, with her beaming imagination by my side. Today as I was addressing our Christmas cards, I pulled her onto my lap, and we traced her hands on the back side of the envelopes. As I continued to write the addresses, she drew personalized scribbles on the back of each one! Haha! She also wanted to pretend that she was ‘Belle’ and I was her ‘Mother’. As you can imagine, that was a super hard role play! ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ This year we got our Christmas cards from ArtifactUprising, and I’m really happy with how they turned out! Lucy loves seeing pictures of herself, so she was overjoyed with the turnout as well. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I hope that as Lucy grows, that she can continue to teach me to find sunshine in everything. Even in the mundane day-to-day chores! I really do love her for it. What are your favorite ways to involve your little ones, throughout the day?

I work from home doing calligraphy with 2 little girls too. It can be so hard but having my 2 year old help or do things with me really is the best! I love being to have her help me!
