Focus on the Significant

“We would do well to slow down a little, focus on the significant, and truly see the things that matter most.” -Dieter F. Uchtdorf

This quote has really stuck with me, knowing that these are the last days of being a family of three! I have such mixed emotions as there are only 50 short days until the due date of our baby. I’m going to really miss the one-on-one time I get to have with Lucy (these bump snuggles are my fave)… And I won’t lie, I’m a little scared about it all! BUT I’m ready to bust out of my comfort zone. I’m sure that adding a new addition to our family is going to make things that much sweeter in the long run. 🙂

I have a 4 month old baby boy and a 2.5 year old daughter and I felt the exact same way before my little guy was born. I was so excited, but so nervous, and I wanted to treasure each moment that I had with my daughter. I can promise that your heart will grow and you will have so much love for both of them. It isn't easy being a mom of two, but it is absolutely worth it and I love it! 🙂

Ohhh my goodness that last picture of you and Lucy is so beautiful. You should definitely frame that in your house or something!
P.S. I'm obsessed with all of your snaps of Lucy! She's adorable

I dropped my little girl off at my moms house before we headed to the hospital to welcome our baby boy. I cried as I left her, knowing she wouldn't be my only child anymore. It was hard, knowing everything was going to change. But obviously, we are an even more happy family now that baby boy is in our lives!
Lucy is going to be the best big sister. Within a few days, she'll forget that the baby never even existed in the first place. 🙂
    So excited for your family!

Love the quote and positive energy!! These pictures from the Oregon coast are incredibly beautiful. Y'all are going to be such a cute family of 4 and I can't wait to follow along on all the adventures to come! It sounds like most moms face the same feeling when they are getting ready to have their second baby. Lucy will make an excellent and adorable big sis!
