Briksdal Glacier: Norway

^^ Thankful to have Mom & Dad to show us around! ^^

On this day of the road trip I felt like a true Norwegian: I was eating lefsa and drinking a carton of milk in the backseat. We laughed so hard when we drove through a tight tunnel and my Mom (Who is verrrry claustrophobic) looked up from writing in her journal, and nervously shouted “It’s like a ssssnail — clam place!” Hahahah Oh my gosh, I laughed until I cried with that one. We’re like “Excuse me, what are you trying to say?” I’m proud of her though, we drove through the longest tunnel in the world and she did fantastic.

We got up to Briksdal and ate Norwegian waffles with jam in the little shop. Then we began our trek up the mountain. The whole trail was beside mounds of mossy rocks. I thought a little troll from Frozen was going to appear! We got to the top and it was unreal. The sky was super cloudy and yet the water was still crystal blue. Brad got me to drink glacier water (I’m glad I did! Wow!) and attempted to skip rocks (Mine NEVER skip. What’s the deal!?) I’m shocked my Mom did so well getting to the top, because she has a torn meniscus. She said “Well, I better start my way down and you can catch up with me..” Ten minutes later we decided to start our trek down, and we caught her around the first corner taking SELFIES! Hahahah Oh my gosh. She’s the best.

This truly was the most perfect time to capture the beauty of Briksdal! I still can't get over how green those moss covered rocks were. You two captured it all perfectly! I'm so grateful we got to have this trip experience with you and Brad!
