The Land of Thai

Koh Samui, Thailand
We arrived at the Four Season’s resort, and about died when we saw the view. We tried to play it cool as we were shown around our villa, but I think the guy caught onto the wide eyed glances Brad and I kept exchanging. After he left, we cranked up the tunes – It’s party time! I got my swimsuit on to dip my toe into our private pool, and of course I got tackled and pushed in by Brad! That kid. Of course we weren’t there to relax, but we’ve never felt so spoiled. Between filming interviews and whatnot, we got to experience some pretty cool shiz. We went to go film some distributors riding elephants. We had the expectation that we would be walking beside them on the trail, when they pull up an elephant for us! That was another moment where I had to play my cool, because I wanted to squeal with excitement. It was super hard to try to stabilize a good shot while on top of an elephant though, swaying right *step*, swaying left *step*… Brad totally worked it with the Glidecam though πŸ˜‰ The group of Chinese distributors were behind us, and they kept commenting about how all the beautiful fresh fallen fruit was all over the ground. No one had the heart to tell them it was fresh elephant dung! Hahah. Awesome. We also had an experience where we went out to eat with this indian couple that we work with… They were explaining to me their beliefs of reincarnation, right as I was diving into my giant angus burger… Yeah, that got weird real fast – Ha! Brad also joined in on the water jet pack shenanigans – which was hilarious! It was kinda broken so they had no control of the power. You would get either aimlessly shot out of the water unexpectedly, or they would kill the power while your 20 ft out of the water to end in a face plant. Oh man, I laughed so hard. We sure crossed off all sorts of bucket list items this trip. And I have to say that overall Thailand was pretty good to us. I would sure like to visit there again, especially at a different time of the year – I bet it would have been twice as amazing with some sunshine!
