There is a boy that is very dear to me serving his LDS mission in Chile. While he’s been gone these past 9 months he has sent home loads of videos (to my request) and its been one of our forms of communication. For his birthday I wanted to celebrate with him even though we are going to be on opposite ends of the globe this year. I went through all the video footage he has sent home and came up with this idea. I got some friends together to throw a “birthday party” and we left a chair open so the birthday boy himself could be composited into the shot. After a lot of frosting, weird stares, and rotoscoping, this is what came together. 🙂
